The story takes us back to the 16th century, when the resilient inhabitants of Krajina bravely defended the Austro-Hungarian frontier against the relentless expansion of the Ottoman Empire.

However, fast forward to the 20th century, and the region faced another tragedy as over 200,000 people were forced into exile. Their land, their homes, and their dreams were shattered.

Now, as you bear witness to their struggles, you will see the faces of those who have endured unimaginable hardships across several small villages in Lika, Croatia.
